Windsurfing: Levington Wind Direction: wnw Wind Stength: 20/30 Surf / Sea State: river chop Air Temperature: 18 Sea Temperature: 17 Weather: mainly cloudy Max Speed: 28.44 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 22 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Hummed and harred all day about going to Southend with speed buddy Peter
Cutts but with the dinner time wind forecast showing the wind to be wnw we
decided not to risk it and head for Levington instead !!! The Ray will have
to wait for a better forecast-I bet we got it wrong but we had a blast
trying to make 30kts in the lumpy R.Orwell which was well scary in winds
gusting to 30 kts :) Max time slower than last night but average improved
!!! the 5.8 x 15 is a great high wind sail :) I think Peter managed to
break 30 kts on a board used by Noah !!!! and a rotational 5.7 with a large
hole in !!! So a great couple of hours just trying flat out blasting trying
to find a flat spot in the waves and only one major wipe out !!!! and my
third best average :)
